Wenceslao Rodriguez, Jr. has over 30 years of experience in the field of social work with a rich variety of field experiences that started in child welfare and in the poverty program. The majority of his career has been spent in the area of community mental health which has included starting up programs in family home care, substance abuse treatment, and directing comprehensive inpatient services for adults and adolescents with psychiatric and substance abuse treatment needs.
He has worked in a variety of contexts that have included a Mexican-American community based organization, community mental health agencies, private for profit mental health care, and has also had his own private therapy practice. His work has included consultant work in the area of Head Start, personnel management, and program development.
His orientation in all his efforts has been one of developing partnerships to address the concerns or project at hand. He is presently the Sr. Director for the San Antonio Field Office for Casey Family Programs.
Mr. Rodriguez received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and his Masters of Social Work from the University of Chicago.
