Where do the videos come from on this site?
Most of our videos come from Learning about Learning conferences across the country. From time to time we publish a video directly from our speakers.
Are LAL videos available for download?
Yes. Our videos are copyrighted. You are free to share, copy, distribute and transmit these works under a Creative Commons (CC) license under the following conditions:
Attribution: you reference explicitly Learning About Learning as the original source of the materials, and LAL's logo and visuals as well as
those of the LAL sponsors remain untouched and unedited.
NonCommercial: You can’t use LAL (or any parts of them) for commercial purposes
NonDerivative: You cannot alter the videos in any way (edit, remix, cut, etc). These conditions can be modified only by explicit permission of the copyright holder (Learning About Learning). The complete text of the license can be seen on the CC
Can I show LAL videos at my conference, meeting, to a group of people, in my classroom?
Yes, as long as you comply with the terms of the Creative Commons license outlined above (see Are LAL videos available for download? above). The videos must be shown unedited, including the all visuals, those of the partner conferences, and those of the LAL sponsors, as well as the copyright information, and only within the scope of a non-commercial event. We are happy for families, students, colleagues, teachers, and communities to use LAL videos. If you wish to use LAL Videos in a commercial context, please contact us.
